Anouk was born March 26,
2000 in the Netherlands.
(In the picture,
she is 3.5 years old). She is making steady
progress, but is very late with every step. She
sat up at 21 months, began crawling at 27 months and
pulled up to stand at 32 months. She is still not
walking alone, but she can walk around furniture. Anouk
is still in the babbling stage of talking.
Sometimes she is saying a word like "cookie". She likes
music very much and can "hum" a lot of songs. The piano
is her favorite toy (and other things with music
buttons.) Another strong side of her is her
memory.Anouk is on low calcium formula since she was 9 months old. It look us a lot of patience to teach her to eat solid food, but now she is doing o.k. Another issue is sleeping. She hates to sleep in her own bed. She cries sometimes very long and when we don't close the bedroom door, she will crawl into our bed and go to sleep there. At daytime she is a very sweet girl and can play for hours alone with her toys. We are looking for the right school for her, but that's not an easy job. She is a very tiny and vulnerable little girl and is afraid of a lot of noise. Soon she will start at a daycare for children with special needs 3 days a week. It's a little group of 7 children ages 3-5 years old with 2 teachers. We are very curious how this will work for her.
We will do everything for
her. We love her the way she is (but that is not
always easy.). She is our special angel, with her
big blue eyes.
