This
is a picture of Charlie Mathias just before he turned 2. He was born August 29, 1995 and
was diagnosed with WS in February of 1997. He and his two sisters, Elizabeth (7) and Katie
(5), live in Indiana. Charlie attends a Montessori preschool two mornings and a First Step
play group one morning a week where he receives OT and Speech Therapy. We are fortunate
that he has only a slight heart murmer and his health is good.
Charlie is a typical outgoing child with WS. He has a wonderful sense of humor and is very popular everywhere he goes. He's always ready with a big hug for anyone who needs one. Charlie loves books, puppets, stuffed animals and music. He is already showing an interest in his Dad's drums (but, what 2 year old wouldn't!) He seems to amaze us every day with his accomplishments and is truely a joy.
