This is my daughter, Cheyanne.
Cheyanne was
born at 6:02 p.m. on April 12, 2001 in Marion, Ohio.
Cheyanne Marie weighed 6lbs 5.5oz. To the naked eye, Cheyanne appeared to be normal. Unbeknownst to us, Cheyanne was having problems. The doctor pulled me aside and told me that my daughter had been placed in the high-risk nursery because she had a very strong heart murmur. In June of 2001, a heart doctor at Columbus Children’s Hospital told us that our daughter would require a heart surgery to correct the heart defect. During the surgery, the doctor noticed all of Cheyanne’s arteries were ½ the size of what they should be. This is known as pulmonary stenosis. Through extensive tests, the doctors determined Cheyanne had Williams Syndrome. Cheyanne is now 4 1/2 and a sweetheart. She attends Mid Ohio Preschool. She loves Contemporary Christian Music and being around people. |
