Elaine

Back Up Next

Elaine was born on 10 October 1999.  elaine.jpg (17165 bytes)She was a small baby, not sleeping and feeding.  When she was 4 weeks old a heart murmur was detected and we immediately seek specialists advice.  She had severe SVAS (Supra valva aortic stenosis).  It was corrected with open heart surgery on the day she was two months old. She was diagnosed with Williams Syndrome in October 2000.  She had no other heart problems until now, the operation was a huge success.  She has some typical  WS delays, but her fine motor skills are excellent.  Although she is not talking very much, she makes sure she gets the message across in her own way!  She has only one kidney, but are generally a healthy child.

Elaine has a very inquisitive mind, and will examine everything she can find.  She loves music, dancing and books.  She has a cat and dog whom she loves dearly.  Nobody is a stranger to her.  After Mommy her second word she learned was "hello".  She will greet everyone with a big smile, and give you a hug if she gets the chance.  She is our only child, but is attending a playgroup in the mornings with "normal" children and is doing very well.  Elaine is a loving little girl, from  whom we experienced so much love already.  We are very proud of her,  she is the joy of our lives.
