Madison Potts

Back Up Next

Madison is now 7 years old and is in the second grade.  She is in a special education class at a local elementary school.  This year, she has learned to read, spell, and even write her name!  We couldn't be more proud of her!  We have lost our identity and are now known as Madison's Mom and Dad by everyone at her school.  Kids from kindergarteners through 5th graders know Madison.

Madison is a joy and a challenge all rolled up in one loveable and cute package.  To quote someone, "It is hard to have a bad day around Madison."  Every time we think Madison can't do something, she proves us wrong and eventually does it.  It may be a little later and she may learn it in a different way, but she always can do it!

For all of you parents out there just beginning your journey down this road, just take on each new challenge and really enjoy the joy that your child brings you.  It is truly an amazing experience to raise a child with Williams Syndrome.  We appreciate the opportunity to bring out her full potential as she grows and learns and as we grow and learn with her.

I would love to hear from other families with Williams Syndrome children!  Please e-mail me at teapotts@earthlink.net.
