Look who wants to come along on a picnic! This is
Matthias.
He was born on
5/26/05 at 6 lbs. 2 oz. 18.75 inches long. He was
considerably jaundiced upon delivery and therefore
remained in the hospital for 5 days. Matthias was
diagnosed with Williams Syndrome on Tuesday October
11th, at 4.5 months, based on a FISH test. Matthias had colic for the first 6.5 months of life. Then one day it was just gone and he was a new boy! Praise the Lord! Matthias has a mild congenital heart murmur, developmental delays and continues to receive treatment for acid reflux/chronic cough. He is certainly hypersensitive to sounds, especially certain people's laughs and crying babies/children. Matthias is currently in PT and began crawling at about 11 months. At his recent one year medical check up he was 18 pounds! He seems to like animals (especially our two cats!), the water, other children, guitar music played by his uncle, shaking things, balls, things that spin, being outside, bubbles and various cat toys. He is our first born, so no siblings yet, but 5 cousins! He has a smile that lights up the lives of all who see it. He is mightily loved by his Creator, his parents, his grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.
