This is my son Nicolas Geoffroy. He is 27 months old. Nicolas was diagnosed with Williams Syndrome at 6 months old by FISH test at Children's Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. We discovered his issues due to significant feeding issues when he was an infant -- he had trouble eating and it would take hours to get his bottle down! Fortunately, he has not encountered other health problems associated with WS and his eating is normal at this point.

Nicolas attends daycare everyday and loves it! He is the favorite in his Toddler room due to his happy and loving disposition. He receives Early Intervention help weekly, with consultative Speech, OT, and PT. He also receives private OT bi-weekly to work on fine motor skills and Speech Therapy weekly to help him learn to communicate with us faster. He sees Dr. Lanphear at Children's Hospital every 4-6 months to assess his progress. Our last visit was in July, 2003 -- Nicolas made 6 months of progress in 6 months in all areas. He is approximately 3-4 months delayed vs. his chronological age.

Nicolas is a very happy little boy! He loves to play outside, ride rides in amusement parks, dance to music, play with cars and trucks and be with people he loves. He is very affectionate, giving us and his friends frequent hugs, kisses and smiles. Nicolas is learning to be bi-lingual (French and English) since his father is French. He seems to be doing well with that so far.
