Spenser

Back Up Next

This is Spenser Auck in 2003 @ 6 years of age. Spenser was diagnosed with Williams Syndrome at 1 month of age (clinically & FISH). Spenser is a pretty "typical" Williams kid, as you can see his "puffy" eyes and curly blonde hair. He started walking @ 18 months of age and didn't really begin talking until he was 3 years old. Spenser is very loving. He loves to give "Big Hugs" and kisses, and becomes very concerned when someone is upset. Spenser has been diagnosed with SVAS and pulmonary branch Stenosis - right and left (both are very mild at this time). He is very small for his age - even by the Williams charts. Spenser receives speech therapy, as well as OT and PT and attends the Access School in Little Rock, AR. He has learned to read phonetically and has even started doing some math. I cried the night he came home and read T-I-E.

Spenser is a native Texan who was relocated to Arkansas. He would love to meet other Arkansans with Williams Syndrome (as would his parents - Joe and Carin). Spenser has a younger sister, Cailee, born in November 1998. They are a typical brother and sister -- fighting one minute and loving each other the next. Everyone asks if they are twins, but there is a 21 month age difference.

Spenser loves "Jay Jay the Jet Plane" and Veggie Tales. He also has a fascination with books, puzzles and trains - he just can't get enough of any of them. Please feel to e-mail us at any time - cauck@comcast.net.
