This is Charlie Ferguson (WS; 5 years old) with his sister Justine (age 2). Charlie was born Sept. 16, 1995. He started receiving therapy (OT, PT, Oral / Speech) at 16 months. He was considered developmentally delayed and suffered from very low muscle tone throughout his body and Sensory Integration issues.
Charlie
was diagnosed with WS by FISH Test at 2 years old. He started school
at 3 years old in an ESE classroom in the Alachua County School
System in Gainesville, Florida. For the last 2 years, Charlie has
been in a Headstart classroom and still receives OT, PT, and Speech
therapies.
He shares a room with his older brother, John Henry (7 years old), and he adores his little sister, Justine. Charlie's health has been good. He does not appear to suffer from any kidney or heart ailments, and has not experienced elevated calcium levels.
Charlie is a very social and delightful child. He is very popular and outgoing. He always has a hug for family and friends and says hello to most people he meets.
