This is Gabriel Caleb Smith. He is 3 months old. When he is happy he lights up the room. When he’s not it’s not a pretty sight. Healthwise, Gabe has 3 heart defects: Aortic Stenosis, Pulmonary Stenosis, and Narrowing of both Pulmonary Arteries. He’s already had a hernia surgery (where his heart stopped during anesthesia) and a Cardiac Cath. He will most likely undergo Open Heart surgery this summer.

Phillip (dad) and Kristi (mom) are adjusting to the new diagnosis of their first child as well as one can expect. We are currently shopping for an adequate day care for special needs children and all the appropriate therapies that Gabriel will need.
