Grace Trosper is 4yrs old now -- born April 28, 05. She was diagnosed at 4 months old with the FISH test. She has most classic symptoms of Williams Syndrome...heart disease (Aortic and Pulmonary stenosis), hypercalcimia, chronic ear and eye infections, asthma, sensitive hearing, kidney deformities, developmental disabilities, mental retardation, and, of course, the face of a child with WS.

Grace is very much the picture of the 'overly social' personality. She loves people and says "Hi, how are you" to everyone she sees. She is a very loving, sweet, and outgoing little girl. She blesses people everywhere she goes! However, she is struggling with behavioral issues right now as well. She has many fits throughout the day and has sensory issues, as well as problems with self-regulation.

Grace has Occupational Therapy once a week and Physical Therapy once a month. She has an intensive program in her preschool, where she also gets therapy and a one-on-one aid. She is beginning to speak in 3-4 word sentences and is working on potty training. She is wearing leg/foot braces now. We are hoping to see a developmental optometrist soon and are expecting heart repair surgery sometime in the next few years.

Grace is the light of my life! I am a single mother -- raising Grace, her 2 yr. old brother, and 6 yr. old sister. She is the most challenging part of my life, but also the joy of my heart! I am very thankful that God has entrusted me with such a special child and that He believes I am strong enough and patient enough to raise this precious little girl!!
