Hello! My name is Harlie! I was born May 1, 2007 in Lake Charles, Louisiana and weighed 5 pounds, 5 ounces.

I was diagnosed with Williams Syndrome at three months of age. It was very hard to deal with at first, but my family and friends knew I could do the things the doctors said I wouldn't. As a baby, I had a pretty severe heart problem. I was also on oxygen. My mommy was very afraid. But through lots and lots of answered prayers, my heart is back to normal! I truly am a miracle of God!!

I have had some difficulties, but for the most part I am just like the other children! I was in an early intervention program from the time I was about 6 months old until I turned 3, when I aged out of the program. In the program I received Speech therapy, physical therapy, and had a special instructor that helped me with pretty much every area of learning. I started crawling at 8 months with a cast on my leg (I had a cast because my feet were crooked), and I walked at about 20 months. I have a pretty big vocabulary, and most people say that I talk well for my age(: I love to talk, sing, and most of all-dance! I also love chocolate and horses! I recently started school in a special needs PK-3 class, and I love it! Riding the school bus is my favorite part of the day!

Everyone I meet says how sweet and friendly am, even though I am spoiled! I have my Mommy, my Daddy, my PaPaw, my MaMaw, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and all of our family friends to thank for that! We love to meet new people living with Williams Syndrome! We actually recently brought a family to a diagnosis of Williams Syndrome for their 12 year old daughter. They had never heard of it. But after talking to us, and hearing about me, they brought their little angel to be tested, and sure enough-it was Williams Syndrome! What a wonderful thing!

I still have a low appetite, and am very small for my age, weighing in at only 26 pounds. But I am healthy, and beautiful-and perfect in God's eyes, and in the eyes of my loving family that has been here for me through it all!
