Justin was born June 21, 2001 and was diagnosed with Williams Syndrome at 7 weeks old. He lives in St. Louis, Missouri and has a younger brother, Josh.

He is currently in first grade where he receives OT, PT, speech & language, and music therapy.

His only major health concern is renal arterial stenosis and high blood pressure (as a result), which is kept under control with medication. He also takes medication for his attention, which seems to help; however, it suppresses his appetite and makes falling asleep difficult.

Justin is a gentle and friendly boy who loves reading books, playing computer games, riding his bike, and going to the hardware store to look at all the tools and lawn and garden equipment. He also loves dogs and is very much into robots, trains, and any kind of big machine (especially big construction machines). Anyone he sees cutting the grass or doing yard work completely holds his attention – he loves to watch!

He is a joy to be around, and he’s always bringing a smile to someone’s face!

We’d love to hear from other WS families; if you’d like, send e-mail to jherweck@att.net.
