Bareback: Rocker Steiner

Rocker Steiner never fails to get the energy going when he comes out of the bucking shoots, and his performance in the four-man round at the American was no exception! His 91.75-ride had everyone on their feet as he left his competition in the dust to claim the victory.

Breakaway Roping: Josie Conner

21-year-old Josie Conner is no stranger to big wins, but the American victory has slipped through her grasp three times. Josie broke that streak this year with a 1.89 in the final round to earn the top slot in the breakaway roping.

Team Roping: Kaleb Driggers And junior Nogueira

Kaleb and Junior have both won their share of American money through their careers, and this year each man added $100,000 to their past earnings. Despite a rocky start in the 10-man round, the pair pulled off a 3.95 in the finals to secure the win.

This title marks Kaleb’s fifth American win—the most won by an individual athlete since the American’s inception—and Junior’s third.

Saddle Bronc: DamiAn Brennan

Australian saddle bronc phenom Damian Brennan came to play at the American Rodeo. His score of 91.75 points abroad Exotic Warrior earned him the win in the four-man finals after an electric ride that showed the prowess of both human and equine athletes.

Steer Wrestling: Will Lummus

Will Lummus is always a force to reckon in the steer wrestling. In the 10-man round, Will proved he meant business with a 3.5 second run, winning the prelim, then brought it home with a 3.71 to win the finals.

As the victory was announced in the arena, his first stop was to hug fellow steer wrestler, Dakota Eldridge—who was also part of the four-man round. The pair showcased the camaraderie and brotherhood that’s built through hours spent together on the rodeo road.

Tie-Down Roping: Shane Hanchey

Veteran tie-down roper Shane Hanchey proved he’s still got what it takes when he beat reigning world champ Riley Webb’s time in the finals. Shane’s 6.73-second run bested Riley’s 6.9 to secure the championship.

While many spectators were cheering for 11-year-old Dusky Lynn Hall to earn a million-dollar victory at the American, reigning World Champion Kassie Mowry and her horse, Jarvis, ran an incredible 15.055 to claim the victory in the finals.

After finishing fourth in the 10-man round, Kassie and Jarvis faced the roughest ground in the finals at the bottom of the pack, but that didn’t stop this incredible pair from showing they could dominate.

Bull Riding: Tristen Hutchings

The bulls didn’t hold back at the American Rodeo, and only two cowboys stayed on for the eight-second ride required to advance to the finals.

Tristen Hutchings made his finals run count aboard Stranger Danger of Frontier Rodeo, earning an 89.25 to secure the championship.
