A message from the WSF Board of Directors

On behalf of the Western Sports Foundation Board of Directors, we’d like to share an important update regarding a leadership transition at our organization.

After 12 years of dedicated service—and the last four as Executive Director—Aubrey O’Quin will be stepping down from her role to focus on her health and family. Her final day will be Friday, June 20.

Aubrey has played a transformative role in shaping WSF’s growth and mission. Her steady leadership and unwavering care for the rodeo community have left a lasting legacy. While she may be stepping away from her daily role, she will always remain a part of the WSF family.

To ensure continuity and momentum, the Board has named Mai-Brit Harvey as Interim Executive Director. Mai-Brit has worked closely alongside Aubrey in her role as Director of Fund Development, helping to lead fundraising, partnership development, and strategic outreach. Her commitment to our mission and deep understanding of the work ahead make her well-positioned to carry WSF forward during this transition.

Working alongside Mai-Brit is Elaine Cersosimo, who continues in her role as Director of Operations. Elaine has long overseen day-to-day operations and leads our athlete services with care and professionalism. From mental health support to injury assistance, she remains the go-to for athletes seeking help.

With this experienced team in place, we remain fully committed to the mission of Western Sports Foundation: to support rodeo athletes in every aspect of their journey, inside and outside the arena.

As a Board, we are actively working through next steps regarding the organization’s long-term leadership and will keep you informed as those plans evolve.

Thank you for your continued support, your belief in our mission, and your investment in this community. We hope you’ll join us in thanking Aubrey for all she’s done for WSF and in wishing her every success as she enters this next chapter.

With appreciation,
The Western Sports Foundation Board of Directors
